The surface-set diamond bits are mainly used for drilling relatively complete strata (or formations) of medium hardness and high hardness. Its matrix surface is inlaid with large diamonds, and there are 15 to 100 diamonds per carat.

Its main components are large particles of diamonds, steel body and carbide powder. And the diamonds are quite suitable for making drill bits of complex shapes.

Concerning its packing, the surface set diamond bits are first packaged by cartons, and then the carton-packaged diamond bits will be packed again by standard plywood boxes.
